Supporting the Local Community: Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs

Giving something back to the community is incredibly important to us all here at Buckingham Schenk, and as such we select a local charity to raise money for over the course of 12 months. Since 2020, we have been supporting the incredible Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs, who assist the police in searching for, locating and reuniting vulnerable missing people.

For nearly 20 years, Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs have been operating with a team of fantastic volunteers, on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help with the search and rescue teams, the police and other emergency services around the Berkshire area, and often neighbouring counties.

Together, the handlers and their dogs make a 22 person and 28 dog, strong team, that constantly train and practice for search and rescue scenarios. With someone reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK, the service they provide is invaluable to the community, and is a charity close to our hearts to support. Between our team and various different charity activities, we are delighted to have raised and donated £2,000 as a thank you to the wonderful service that they provide to all those who in need.
