Vignaquadra Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC

About

The grapes are harvested at the end of October, at an average yield of 55 hl per hectare. Vinification takes part in stainless steel to preserve the vivid fruit characters of the variety. This is followed by 15-20 days of maceration on the grape skin to add extra structure. A proportion of the wine is finished in oak barrels to help provide subtle vanilla notes and increased roundness and complexity.

Taste

Ruby red colour. Deep black cherry and plum notes on the nose, rich and spicy with an almost incense-like intensity. Full bodied, fruity, with big, bold and beautifully ripe tannins adding complexity alongside vanilla spice and tobacco notes on the long finish.
