Otazu Altar
A unique and special wine from Bodega Otazu. An estate-grown wine using the very best fruit from the Otazu property in Navarra. Manual harvest, separately, of each of the varieties and plots, with maceration of a week in cold prior to fermentation. The wine is aged for more than 5 years before release.
Taste
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. Aged in French oak for 18 months followed by 40 months in bottle. Dark, garnet-red with a ruby rim colour. Very complex nose with mineral notes, ripe dark fruit, truffles, subtle balsamic hints and cedar. Well-structured and elegant palate. Full-bodied wine with a long finish. Great with game, lamb and cured cheese.
