About

te Pā Chardonnay

The fruit for this Chardonnay was handpicked from our Brancott Road Vineyard in the Southern Valleys. The fruit was then whole bunch pressed directly to barrel, 30% of which were new barrels selected from our most trusted French coopers. The barrels were left to ferment with “indigenous” yeasts, for 11 months.

Taste
With its medium bodied, dry style, the wine offers refreshing acidity, which creates a welcome harmony with the softer nectarine, grilled pineapple and brioche characters. This wine possesses good fruit intensity and a fine structure that will reward cellaring for up to 4 -5 years. This is the perfect wine to match with the crowd favourite - roast chicken. For more adventurous appetites, pair with an Asian spiced pork belly.
